So sorry to hear of Flo’s passing. I was in the drama club with Flo at the CHSC and I enjoyed her so much she was a lovely lady and always the star of the show. I would drive Flo to her home after our drama club meetings and she would always throw me a kiss as I was leaving. I will miss her beautiful smile. Debbie Miller
What a lovely lady Florida was. Such a graceful, sincere and genuine person.
Never an unkind word and always an uplifting spirit.
As neighbors we shared many memorable conversations on our front porch over the years, enjoyed several of Flo's homemade dinners, took adventurous road trips seeking
interesting cuisine and most of all just enjoying her irresistible charm.
We will forever remember Flo's endearing smile and politeness.
Our heartfelt condolences to Susan and the family,
R.C. and J. Dawn Blackwell
Flo was loved and adored by everyone. Had many good times playing cards and penny bingo. Susan, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
I met Flo about a year ago when I moved back into the area from GA and discovered such a warmth about her. Flo made it so easy to enjoy everything when spending time with her. Flo had such a giving heart - When my son came from Hawaii to live with my mother and had no means of transportation, she gave him her car. I admired Flo and enjoyed my short time knowing her. May God Bless Your Goodness Flo and hold you in His loving arms.
so sorry to hear about Flo ; will miss her at penny bingo and the casino and singing at the center. Truly a terrific friend. Gina
Rehoboth Beach and the Delaware Ocean Resorts host many International Students every summer who travel here on a special visa to learn about Americans and their culture while working the Resort trades. Saint Edmond Catholic Church ministers to these students as part of the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches (LRAC) by providing free dinners on Wednesday evenings. Florida was devoted to this Ministry and brightened these evenings for the students and the volunteer staff, alike. Always quick with a joke or a smile, she would share fun while generously serving others.
Florida would pull into the parking lot herself or with South Philly chum Teresa Tumini and everyone knew the work was about to become both amusing and enjoyable. My wife and I believe that she is a Saint for these frenetic times who could always find time to treasure others. Sincerely, Jim and Teresa Walsh
