To Everetts Family,
My wife Patty and I lived directly across the street from Everett and Pat. We moved away and lost touch. Today I tried to call Everett and couldn't make contact. I just found the obituary and I am crushed. I remember just walking across the street and having great conversations. As a former Marine with a son thats a former Marine as well, we formed a bond that was unshakable. I am stunned, and will miss my ol friend , Semper Fidelis brother and Fair winds and Following seas Devil dog. Until Valhalla.

Everett was a wonderful man and our dedicated neighbor who was President of our HOA for many years. He had a love of sports which we shared with him and an amazing sense of humor. It has been an honor for Marlene and I to have known him for so many good years. He was always available to help any neighbor in our community with any problem, concern or issue. He was a loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan. I had fun every Sunday talking with him about the football scores as his team usually won and my team, the Redskins usually lost. As a leader of the local VFW chapter, he encouraged Marlene and I to join and to participate with their social activities. He shared my fondness for desserts. Marlene and I already miss him.

Everett was "uncle" everett to my furry son, Teddy. He would come over or I would drop teddy off so they could spend a few hours together. Teddy adored his "uncle Everett.

There are very few people who come along in life that can make the impression Everett made, always honest, caring, and dedicated. From our first meeting over 25 years ago, at a community watch meeting, to our last one in the grocery store, I always enjoyed seeing and talking to him. And no matter what we talked about the one thing that always came up was family. There was nothing more important to him than his family. I know they’re going to miss him but I also know he’ll be looking down on them.
