Eugene P. Cannon's Obituary
Eugene Cannon, age 82, of Dewey Beach, DE, formerly of Potomac, MD, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the Delaware Veterans Home in Milford, DE. Born in Ironton, OH on November 20, 1928, he was the son of the late Albert Cannon and Augusta Geswein Cannon.
Mr. Cannon served as a supervisory program manager for the Department of the Navy in Crystal City, VA for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn Cannon, his son Joseph E. Cannon and wife Martha and granddaughter Taylor of Milwaukee, WI, his daughter Caroline Cannon of Providence, RI, his brother William Cannon of Ironton, OH and his sister Margaret Ann Henneman of Ashland, KY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Edmond Catholic Church, King Charles Ave. and Laurel St., Rehoboth Beach, DE. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963 or St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
