Emma Ruth Edwards' Obituary
Emma Ruth Edwards, age 92 of Lewes, DE passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Renaissance Healthcare, in Millsboro, DE. She was born Saturday, November 15, 1924 in Lewes, DE, daughter of the late Ernest and Alice Hudson Hazzard. Mrs. Edwards was also predeceased by her husband Raymond, her daughter Janice Wood, and son-in-law Bill Wood.
Following graduation from Lewes High School, Mrs. Edwards attended and graduated from Goldey Beacom Business School.
Mrs. Edwards was a homemaker for most of her life, busy raising her family and tending to the home. She enjoyed crafts, bird watching, painting, reading, visiting with friends and family get-togethers.
She is survived by four sons, Ronald and wife Rachael, Dale and wife Teresa, Donald and wife Connie and Roger and wife Lynne; 12 grandchildren, Alice, Doug, Scottie, John, Tammy, Ray, Sandy, Jodie, Donald, Jill, Carla, Bryan; 22 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where viewing will begin at 10 AM.
Burial will follow the services at Conley's Chapel Cemetery, Lewes, DE.
