Lesli Leone Uebel
The Leone Family was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Betty Pratt, a long-time family friend and best friend of our mother, Carol Leone. Our hearts & prayers are with the Pratt family during this difficult time. Our mothers were more like sisters – the truest and staunchest of friends through all of life’s trials and celebrations. Their bond of friendship was a very special one and a true comfort and solace to both (and their families) through the years.
Betty was a special person: smart, strong, and spiritual; a wonderful, compassionate and beautiful soul with a broad smile, twinkling eyes, easy to laugh and all with a genuine southern charm. And Betty was quite the storyteller, especially when fondly recounting escapades of her and our mother. She loved her family – a topic near and dear to our mothers’ hearts, and the backdrop to much of their discussions through the years.
Betty will always be remembered fondly as a ‘member’ of our family and a ‘Sister’ to our mother. We can still hear them laughing heartily, when not arguing over politics (a seemingly favorite pastime for both)! No truer friends were those two.
Our mother is welcoming Betty home now (she needs a partner in crime), and the two will no doubt carry on as they did in times past, in their Father’s House. This thought brightens our spirits and warms our hearts. We feel forever grateful to have known Betty, thankful for her loving friendship with our mother and her part in our lives as well.
May Betty now Rest in Peace, in God’s Love & Grace.
Love, Lesli, Nick and Lisa Leone
