I am eternally grateful for all of the memories created at the shore in Wildwood, from camping out all day at the beach, sharing laughter and comradery on the porch at the house, and watching Aunt Betsy "butt" ski in the back back bays off of the boat appropriately named "The Betsy". Aunt Betsy was a truly kind, fun loving, and compassionate person. Nothing was more important to her than her family and she loved them dearly.
In a moment of lightheartedness, I'd also like to share that it is thanks to Aunt Betsy that I know that I cannot pull off being bald. She was cutting my hair once as a young teen and the guard to the clippers fell. I remember hearing her say "oops", not a word you want to hear when someone is cutting your hair! She felt so bad, but we all had a good laugh about it afterwards. Still makes me smile when I think back on it.
Aunt Betsy was a wonderful person and we loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to my Uncle Mike, cousins Kellie and Mike, her grandchildren, and all those that loved and cared for Betsy.
