Grace Mccloskey Bardine
Eleanor was one of God’s truly great gifts to those of us who knew her. She was my first supervisor in data processing approximately 50 years ago when the National Center for Health Statistics (formerly the National Office of Vital Statistics) contracted with IBM for a 1401 computer system (a huge improvement over EAM equipment). Eleanor was a pioneer in using computers for analyzing vital statistics, she was knowledgeable in both Univac and IBM computers, she was my mentor, and she was a friend.
Go now in peace, faithful friend of God.
As you take our love into Paradise.
God’s holy angels will lead you home.
To the wide waiting arms of the Lord.
My condolences to Eleanor’s sister, her extended family, and all those knew her and will miss her.
