Dear Bob, Rick, Paul & Carol,
I was so sorry to learn of your family's loss. I have such strong memories of The Rocheleau family -- writ large -- in my earliest memories from Graylyn Crest ... that was, indeed, a long time ago! My memories of Dottie include twinkling eyes an an infectious smile.
By way of quick catch-up, I now live in Salt Lake City -- where both my parents grew up, but not a place I ever expected to live. I came here about twelve years ago to work in development/fundraising at the University of Utah. I have since retired and am married to a distinguished professor-type (geochemistry/biology) and have, since knowing him, traveled the world in unexpected ways. I never would have thought my first cross-Atlantic destination would be Nairobi! But have now been to Kenya several times and am as much at home in permanent research camps as I am car camping in southern Utah or in an apartment in Lyon, France. It is good that life throws us some happy surprises! I'm also pursuing a certificate in book arts at the university. My sister Mandy lives in West Chester, PA - in close proximity to my dad, now in his early nineties He moved to Maris Grove from Wilmington a couple of years after my mom died and remains active in the Veterans Club there. I saw him last weekend at my nephew's wedding; he was so pleased to have been able to be there (in Tempe!) for the ceremony.
All best to you in this time of reflection and remembrance.
