Dominic N. Ragni's Obituary
Dominic N. Ragni, age 56 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 20, 1964 in Chester, PA, son of the late Natale C. and Margaret E. Ragni.
Mr. Ragni was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Class of 1982. He built a lifelong career as a heavy equipment operator, working for construction companies around Sussex County, most recently for Melvin Joseph and for DelDOT for many years. He also worked for Sir Guys restaurant as a cook and a bouncer. Mr. Ragni was a faithful member of St. Edmond Church in Rehoboth Beach, where he was often an usher at Mass. He was an avid surfer who loved the beach and was a dedicated supporter of Clean Ocean, the Surf Rider Foundation, and anything he could find to keep the environment and beaches clean and healthy. Above all, Mr. Ragni cherished time spent with those he held dear. He was a loving and devoted brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Ragni is survived by his siblings: Gloria Kriegh of Cochranville, PA, Chris Ragni (Joni) of Milton, DE, Steven Ragni of Cochranville, PA, Dianne Allen of Sarasota, FL, Margaret Ohazza (John) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Tina Cain (Bill) of Newark, DE, Kathi Elliott (Ben) of Linwood, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Edmond Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971. Interment will be private. Strict Covid-19 protocol will be followed including social distancing and mask required.
