David E. Billmann's Obituary
David E. Billmann, age 75 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was born on July 15, 1946, in Camden, NJ, son of the late Frank and Ruth (Reed) Billmann.
Mr. Billmann grew up in Woodlynne, NJ and was a graduate of Collingswood High School in 1965, where he lettered in multiple sports. He was decorated and honorably discharged as a Captain in the United States Army and National Guards, including time at war in Vietnam. Mr. Billmann worked at United Parcel Service (UPS) for 28 years, retiring at the age of 55. Mr. Billmann also cherished his time working as a volunteer EMT. He really enjoyed life, boating, cars, listening to music, dancing, and was a huge Eagles fan. Above all, he treasured the love of his family, especially his loving wife, "Jude" and the fun times with his good friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Billmann was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Billmann. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith (David) Billmann; his son, Lamont Sadowski (Alicia); his daughters: Dawn Melchiorre (Eric) and Mandy Savitsky (Mitchell); his grandchildren: Victoria Sadowski, Ava Sadowski, Sophia Sadowski, Dean Sadowski, Frankie Sadowski, Danielle Melchiorre, Brianna Melchiorre, and Mitchell David Savitsky; his brother, Barry Billmann (Kathy); and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 12:00 PM, at the American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Rd, Millsboro, DE 19966. Masks required.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 2:00 PM, at VFW Post 1616, 1940 N Black Horse Pike, Williamstown, NJ 08094. Masks required.
