David and I have so many fond memories of working/visiting on the farm decades ago. It seems like just yesterday that Uncle Walt came by for a visit on his way to Florida. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Our daughter Caroline (12) said it best - she misses her "Great Uncle Walt".

I am truly sorry to hear of Uncle Walt's passing. I know that this is a difficult time for your family, however I am thankful the for the memories I have as a little girl and a teenager visiting with Matt and Jennie and Uncle Walt and Aunt Margy. May you find peace and comfort in knowing that your Mom and Dad were loved and are now together again. I am sorry that I couldn't attend the services, would have loved to tell you that in person. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

It has been many years since I visited with Walton. I shall always remember his ready smile and hearty laugh. He was in he class of '44 and I was in '47. Walt married my cousin Margie, and she gave him many years of happines. May he rest in peace Bob Elliott
To the family and loved ones of Mr. Smith,
He was an exceptional man and consistently reflected the characteristics that anyone would admire and respect. Mr. Smith exemplified greatness in so many ways, and the numerous roles he filled only added to the lives of those around him. I feel fortunate to have spent my childhood close to him and even more fortunate to hold so many vivid and treasured memories. He will be more than missed. He left a real and lasting impact on this world.

We love you all and feel the world is just not as special without Uncle Walt with us...
