Charles J. Renschler's Obituary
Charles J. Renschler, age 90 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. He was born on May 12, 1932, in Lackawanna, NY, son of the late Henry and Pauline Renschler.
Mr. Renschler attended Morrisville State College, the University of Georgia, and earned a Master of Science degree from MIT in Food Science and Technology. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the US Army and was stationed for a time in Germany. Mr. Renschler worked in sales for the DuPont Company in the food and packaging department before becoming a realtor for Mann & Sons in 1986; a career he enjoyed until his illness prevented him from continuing. What he cherished most, however, was time spent with those he held most dear. Mr. Renschler was a loving and devoted brother, uncle, and friend. Loved by many, he will be genuinely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Renschler was preceded in death by his nephew, James Dylon. He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Dylon of Eden, NY; his niece, Julie Smith of Hampstead, MD; his nephew, Larry Dylon of Eden, NY; five great nieces and nephews; and nine great-great nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Polly Drummond Shopping Center, Newark, DE 19711.
