Charles F. Daly's Obituary
Charles "Charlie" F. Daly, formally of South Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Tuesday June 21, 2016 at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. He was the son of the late Charles Daly and Edith Daly Bernero (Hooven).
He was a graduate of Southeast Catholic High School. Charlie was an officer of the court in Philadelphia. He was very active in his home community, Angola Estates, where he lived for the past 20 years, and was a former President of the community. Charlie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and especially loved the times spent fishing with them. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Charlie was a great guy with a unique sense of humor and always made you laugh. He was a pleasure to be around and always lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is predeceased by a brother, Franny Daly and a sister, Barbara (Daly) Morrotta. He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, Kate Hall Daly. 1 daughter, Kathleen Daly Derrick and son-in-law Victor Derrick. 3 Grandchildren: Francis, Kaitlyn Derrick DeGeorge & Jarod. 2 sisters, Marion Daly Dicaprio and Marcia Ann Daly Ficarra, and a brother, George Daly. A sister-in-law, Carol Ann Hall Payne, a brother-in-law Bobby Hall, and many nieces & nephews.
All services are private. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
