Carolyn Ann Straile's Obituary
Carolyn Ann Straile passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was born in Bellevue, PA, daughter of the late Wilbur and Mary Kelley.
Carolyn attended Westminster College where she met and married her husband, Bill. After lovingly raising her four children she became a local innkeeper at The Abbey in Rehoboth Beach. She had many returning customers who became like family to her. Carolyn also had many friends in Rehoboth as well as longtime friends from the many places she has lived throughout her life.
Carolyn will be remembered for her beautiful smile and wonderful personality. She was able to make everyone feel at ease, laugh with them and touch their hearts with her loving spirit. She will be missed more than words can express.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bill Straile; four children: Judy Capobianco and her husband Bob, Linda Ward and her husband Hal, David Straile and his wife Eileen and Eric Straile; and eight grandchildren: Kelsey and Brett Capobianco, Ben and Allison Ward, Luke, Leah, Annabelle and Jordan Alexander; and a brother, Miller Kelley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A memorial open house will be held at The Abbey later this spring.
