I got my start in school nursing in the 80’s and 90’s via Carolyn, the beloved school nurse at Downes / elementary where my children attended. SHe was a wonderful nurse and person, and I’m better for having known her . Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers ,

Carolyn and I started working together at The Newark School District on the same day---and a wonderful friendship developed. She was warm, friendly, caring, and had a great sense of humor---Sadly we lost contact over the past few years. Dan, Jim and Jerry, your mom was a very special lady My thoughts are with you!

Carolyn and I went to Wilmington College together. When she retired from Downes I took over as their school nurse. Carolyn always had the most wonderful smile and caring personality. Loved her skill on the piano. Will truely miss her.

I didn't get to visit as often as I would have liked, but I will miss Aunt Carolyn very, very much. She was always there for me with a kind word or advice, and always happy to see me and share the comings and goings of the family. She never forgot my birthday by sending a special niece birthday card. I am thinking of all my cousins and their families during this difficult time. Joan
