Carl Edward Lofgren's Obituary
Surrounded by his family, Carl Edward Lofgren, age 72, passed away unexpectedly in Summerville, South Carolina, on Saturday, January 10th, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father Carl and his mother Maude Brewer Lofgren. Originally from Melrose, Massachusetts, Carl was born on July 14th, 1942, went to Skowhegan High and later served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for United Parcel Services for more than thirty years while living in Maryland with his family.
He was a member of Conley's United Methodist Church - Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park. Carl spent many happy hours volunteering at the bike barn at Henlopen State Park, near Lewes, Delaware, where he lived during his retirement years.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, their son Scott (Cheryl) and their daughter Kimberly (Sean). Loving grandfather of Anthony (Tony) and Tyler. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, January 23rd, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call two hours prior to services.
Burial will follow the services at Conley’s Methodist Cemetery.
