Carl John Abramowicz's Obituary
Carl John Abramowicz, age 57, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Carl was born May 23, 1949 in Cordoba, Argentina.
At the age of ten, he moved with his family to Canada, and two years later to Woodlyn, PA. He attended St. James Catholic High School. In 1972, he received an Electrical Engineering degree from Drexel University. After graduation he attended the Krakow Medical Academy in Poland from 1972 to 1978. It was there that he met his wife, Halina. They were married in 1974 in Czechoslovakia.
Dr. Abramowicz completed his residency at the Wilmington Medical Center in Wilmington, DE. In 1983, he relocated to Lewes, DE where he worked at the Beebe Medical Center for the past 23 years as a well respected Radiologist.
Carl was full of energy, an avid pilot who enjoyed sailing, skiing, and hunting. He traveled the world, and was always looking for adventure. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. So many people considered him their best friend. He will be truly missed by all.
Dr. Abramowicz is survived by his beloved wife, Halina; his daughters, Sabina and Christina; his mother, Jadwiga; his brothers, Fred and Robert and his wife Rebecca; his mother-in-law, Wanda and sisters-in-law Kristina and Wanda. Also, uncles, cousins, nephew, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Eddie, his sister Lillian, and his father, Robert who has been missing since July 2005.
Funeral services will be held Sunday December 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
