I only saw this today. I was looking for Blaine and this popped up.
Blaine and I were good friends through first and second grade.
I learned about the Beatles because of Blair and that’s still a big deal to me today for obvious reasons. When I was gonna buy my first Beatles album, Blair told me exactly what to buy, but Dawsons didn’t have it so I got whatever was there which was ‘Something New’.
I read about Blair maybe 10 years ago and found it interesting that he was a musician. I also ended up playing music and started playing bass in 1969. Of course I didn’t know Blair well back then but it still knocked the wind out of me when I discovered his obituary today. I’m rather a bit soft when it comes to my early days.
Those childhood years in Severna Park were the best for me. I wish to hell my mom would’ve had her head on straight and kept us there because that was such an idyllic area.
Blaine, I still have the image in my head of when your dad brought you to spend the night at our house in Davidsonville and tell me if I’m wrong, but when we opened the door for you that day, you standing there with your dad and your little suitcase, I believe you had the look on your face like “Uhm… I really do not want to be here!”

Ps. Another first for me also in your house was a pop-tart.
