Billie Ann Buckaloo , age 78, of Lewes Delaware passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1947, at Beebe Hospital in Lewes Delaware. Billie was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” and Avice Read Obituary
She had a contagious smile and laugh. She loved people regardless of who they were. She loved her family but more than anything she loved her grandchildren. I have many fond memories of aunt Billie when I was a child that I will forever cherish!!
There are so many memories. She was my best friend ever. We had so much fun in the summer living at the beach from sun-up to sun-down. My heart goes out to the family.May you find peace in the memories spent with her.
I was sad to see of the passing of Billie Ann.As a child,the Buckaloo’s were our next door neighbors.My Mom and Billie Ann became good friends and we all went everywhere together,the beach,Frontier Town,etc,etc.When Mom was not over at the Buckaloo’s ,Billie Ann was over at our house,with her Coke and cigarette,like my Dad.So many fond memories I will always have of this wonderful family!My deepest condolences to Dickie,Bill Henry,Avice and the family.
The most important memory of my friend will be her laugh. We always found a way to laugh, no matter what. Our days of working together were some of the best times in my life. When a donor asked about her name, insinuating it was a strange one, she just gave him a look and said, “I’m Billie Buckaloo, Country and Western star. He just closed his mouth and stared at her. She and I just laughed. Her laughter will always be with me as will her kindness. Dickie was one of my brother’s best friends. I’ve known him since I was 5 and my heart goes out to him at this time.
