I remember the first time I met Armand. I had just been appointed Technical Director of Carpet Fiber Division replacing Ray Craig who was retiring. During the transition period Ray and I visited the various sites where carpet fiber research was being done. I was introduced to Armand and his supervisor, Bob Shellenbarger. Armand brought in some samples which clearly demonstrated the stain-resistant technology he was working on as bootleg project. Wow! We were so impressed and a little over a year later he and the team that was assigned to work on it brought StainMaster®️ to commercial production. It was a fine piece of work! Rest in peace, Armand.
