Anne S. Fahringer
Anne S. Fahringer, 82, of Lewes, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at The Moorings at Lewes. She was born in Hanover, PA, and settled in Howell, NJ, in 1968. Anne worked as a teacher in NJ for over 30 years, most of those at St. Veronica’s in Howell, NJ. She was a parishioner at St. Veronica’s Church, where she served as a Eucharistic minister and volunteered in various ministries. She was an active member of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society and the Friends of Howell Library. Anne enjoyed traveling, knitting, and various arts & crafts. She was very proud of all her grandchildren and made sure she was able to support them in everything they did. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Anna Shrader; grandson, Zachary Walker; and her beloved husband of 56 years, Karl. Anne is survived by her children, David Fahringer and his wife, Lorraine, of Lewes, DE, and Michael Fahringer and his wife, Emily, of Holly Springs, NC; grandchildren, Alana Gisleson and her husband, Jeremy, and their daughter Zooey; Abby Walker and her wife, Natalie; Andrew Fahringer; and Erin Fahringer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church,152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, with a visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.
Interment will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in New Jersey. Mrs. Fahringer will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Karl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anne’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
