Carol Goch
Anne & I have been friends over 40 years. We connected & became friends when we both taught at St. Veronicas School.
We had several occasions when we would socialize, such as playing cards, & going out to eat with other friends. My husband & I enjoyed many long weekends over the years, at their retreat at Big Bass Lake. Our husbands would golf & Anne & I would shop & do lunch.
We also were members of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society where Anne & Karl always did a super job with the Holiday baskets raffle. We went on several trips together with the society to visit lighthouses in other states.
Anne even convinced me to start a Redhatters group- there was just 4 of us that worked at St. Veronicas, Anne. Judy, Irene & myself We did wear purple & red and go to a few organized luncheons for Redhatters where we connected with large groups of women from all over the state.
Anne joined us for Easter dinner after Karl passed, and drove herself to our house in Brick.. Anne never drove outside of Howell, but she said she wanted to prove to herself she could - and she did. I was proud of her and she was beaming when she arrived.
Anne & I enjoyed many times together over the years, and even after Anne moved to Delaware, we still kept in touch on a regular bases, either texting or calling.
I miss my friend.
