Al was such a kind and generous soul. He always made time to talk tech and computers with my son, making him feel important and heard. Even with his back disability, he faced life with strength, grace and quiet determination. We will always remember his warmth, patience, and spirit. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
The of my first memories is him taking me for my first Reeses Pieces Sundae at Friendly's when I was eight. I remember I was nervous because it was our first one on one. He made me laugh so much that night! He introduced me to the internet and we watched the "OJ chase" together in the 90s.
RIP Uncle Butch.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I knew Al for more than 17 years, and he was a smart, talented, and interesting man. He loved telling stories from his life, and his memory was incredible. Those stories and moments will stay with everyone who knew him. His love for my puppy Rosa always made me smile—especially when he screen-printed her picture on T-shirts & her visits with him.....so very Al. He was a computer whiz, avid reader, music lover, & a comedian at heart. May all the wonderful memories of him bring comfort during this difficult time.
Alfred had so many fond and loving memories of his uncle Eddie’s bakery in Greenwich Village, New York. The movie. THE ANDERSON TAPES 1971 WITH SEAN CONNERY. LEAVING UNCLE EDDIE ZAMPIERI‘S BAKERY IN GREENWICH VILLAGE.. & The movie, the pope of Greenwich Village in 1984 with Eric Roberts and Mickey ROURKE in front of Alfred’s uncle Eddie’s bakery. as Alfred and I. Watched both of these movies on his computer. He stopped and took pictures of the scenes. I will post pictures soon..
Sharing family stories and the history of the Zampieri Brothers Bakery in Greenwich Village, New York City, which was a great bakery and functioned for more than 80 years.
Remembering my Uncle Al “Butch” and all of the screened t-shirts we made in the garage for the carnivals. Growing up and spending time with all my cousins on Englishtown Road. May he rest in peace.
