Adele Rose Haas' Obituary
Adele Haas, 78, passed peacefully on August 16, 2016. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and after living in Laurel, MD, she moved to Lewes, DE in 2007.
Ms. Haas was the daughter of the late Herbert and Irene Glickman and sister of the late Mark Glickman. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne (Frank) Gardone and sister-in-Law, Myrna Glickman. She's also survived by two children, Linda Joy Haas and Bennett Haas, three grandchildren, Brian Plumley, Brittany Hutchinson and Josh Haas, as well as three great grandchildren, Alex Hutchinson, Ella Rose Plumley and Natalie Phoenix Plumley.
Ms. Haas retired from the Defense Mapping Agency after twenty years of service.
Adele was affectionately known for being feisty. She was a caring person who will always be remembered for her sweet disposition and warm smile.
Ms. Haas was actively involved in local and Federal politics and was a leader of many causes. Her love of nature and photography lives on in her award-winning photographs and beautiful gardens.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests a contribution be made in her memory to Clothing for Kids, 26582 John J. Williams Highway, Suite #2, Millsboro, DE 19966. 302-864-KIDS (5437).
