William L. Warner's Obituary
William L. “Bill” Warner, of Georgetown Delaware, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 5, 2026, at Cadia Renaissance Memory Care Unit in Millsboro DE, He was 88 years old.
Born on May 25, 1937, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, Bill was the son of George W. Warner and Annabelle Warner.
Bill attended Williamson College of the Trades, where he studied Power Systems and developed the strong work ethic and practical skills that would stay with him throughout his life. He was employed by New Way Packaging Machinery, Hanover PA until his retirement after 41 years of employment Bill enjoyed a lifetime of hobbies and activities including model railroading, hunting, fishing and camping. In his early years he served as a Cubmaster with the Boy Scouts and was also active with the Hanover Fire Police.
Above all else, Bill cherished spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy C. Warner, whom he married on May 7, 1999, in Salisbury, Maryland; his sons, William Warner II (Bridget), Jeffrey Warner(Carole), and John Warner( Gay); his daughter, Heather Little (Drew); and his stepdaughters Sharon Perdue (Bryan)and Susan Usilton ( Hank). Bill was a proud grandfather to Jeffrey Warner Jr., Madalyn Little, Masyn Little, and Mycah Little, and step-grandfather to Hannah Perdue and Vance Usilton. He was also blessed with a great-grandson, Harrison Warner.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a grandson Justine Warner and his sister, Jacqueline Muller (Gunther).
Bill will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his dedication to his family, his deep seeded belief in God, his wonderful smile, and the kindness and friendship he shared with those around him .
A graveside service and interment will be at Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover, PA, on June 27, 2026 at 2:00pm. The Rev Faye Synder officiating.
