William H. (Bill) Stevenson, III, 82, of Lewes died peacefully on December 5, 2009, while under hospice care and surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Frances Johnson Stevenson, his wife of 59 years; daughter Lyn Trax Read Obituary
Too late! We came to Lewes from Germany in 1959, and Bill was a great friend and help at Smith R&D. Four years and 2 children later, we moved to Sarasota FL, and Bill was the key for that important step. He had brought an ad that changed our life. Thanks, Bill. Sorry we missed you. D&R

My thoughts and prayers are with the Stevenson Family. Bill drove for Lewes when I knew him, and he drove me to the ER many times over the years. He was a very nice man, and he will be missed.
So so sorry. Bill was a wonderful man whom I enjoyed and admired so much. He was also a gracious host and a pillar of Lewes. To have intersected with Bill's life was an honor. To have laughed with him was to live.
My sympathy to Bill's family. When I moved back to Lewes in my early 20's and discovered the Fire Service - Bill was always a positive encouragement to the "kids" at Station 82. Today as a Sussex Paramedic, I look back at Bill and realize he helped spark interest in the kid back then.
