William A. Simmons' Obituary
William A. Simmons, Jr., age 65 of Georgetown, DE, passed away Dec. 23, 2009 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Simmons was born in Lancaster, PA, son of the late William A. Simmons, SR. and Norma Trimble Lehn. He was also predeceased by his stepfather Vernon Lehn. Mr. Simmons was self employed for many years and was involved in the TV-VCR electronics repair industry, most recently working as the manager of the VCR Clinic in Bridgeville, DE. He enjoyed playing golf, slot machines, working on the computer, playing the banjo and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Joyce A. “Alex” Simmons, son William A. Simmons III and wife Shellie of Rehoboth Beach, DE; son Timmothy E. Simmons of Magnolia, DE; son Thomas E. Simmons of Millsboro, DE; daughter JoAnn L. Stewart and husband Christopher E. of Seaford, DE; Stepmother Mary Simmons, and siblings Barry Simmons, Jim Simmons and wife Tina and Diane Deatrick and husband Gary all of Lancaster, PA.; grandchildren Brett and Brittany Simmons of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Nicole, Timmothy and Brady Simmons of Magnolia, DE, Kyle McEwin of Lewes, DE, Payten Simmons of Milton, DE, Ivy Morris and Clover Stewart of Seaford, DE and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE were friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958
