William S. Reynolds' Obituary
William S. Reynolds, Jr., age 79, of Lewes, DE passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. He was born in Bear, DE, son of the late William S. and Kathryn (Ewing) Reynolds, Sr.
William enjoyed a longtime career with the Board of Public Works in Lewes. He was a 57 year Life Member of the Lewes Fire Department. He served as Engineer and Chief Engineer for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan, Rusty Wallace was his favorite driver. William loved to fish and had a great love for wild animals. He was well known for his ability to tell great stories.
William is preceded in death by a brother, Walt Reynolds in 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Peggy; a daughter, Marilyn Kelius and her husband Bill of Millsboro, DE; 2 sons, William S. Reynolds, III and his wife Kathy of Crisfield, MD and Troy E. Reynolds and his wife Ruth Ann of Harbeson, DE; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Katy at Delaware Hospice and Denise, a care coordinator for Beebe Healthcare and to Cheryl Reynolds, Lillian Reynolds, Eileen Furnish, Tina Clendaniel and Macy Reynolds for their many hours of care and support.
A Funeral Service with Full Fireman's Honors will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958 where friends may call beginning at 1 PM. Friends may also call on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6PM-8PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow services on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton, DE.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963; Meals on Wheels, 32409 Lewes-Georgetown Highway, Lewes, DE 19958 or the Lewes Fire Department, P. O. Box 225, Lewes, DE 19958.
