William R. "Bob" Conaway, age 82, of Ocean View, DE passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 with his family by his side. Mr. Conaway was born in Greenwood, DE, son of the late Charles H. and Virginia (Lyons) Conaway. Mr Read Obituary
What an inspiration he was, alwsys smiling and enjoying life. I first came to know Mr. Conaway when he served on the ASCS State Committee. Just a few years ago he gave me a Canadian Goose carving that I still have displayed in my office. May the wonderful memories you have sustain you through this difficult time. It has been several years since I saw "Uncle Bob" and have thought I would see him at a Bridgeville function as in years past. I will have to wait until heaven to greet him again. He looms large in my memory. He was always warm and so happy to see me. He always made me laugh, always left me with a smile. It always felt like he was watching out for me. I knew he was a great man because he somehow got "Aunt Jo" to marry him and put up with him.:)
Precious Lord, take his hand, lead him on.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Bob is my first cousin and our families were close in our childhood. The last time I saw him, we were in Bethany Beach at Charlotte's house. Lots of cousins, lots of memories, and lots of fun. I send my sympathy to Joanna, and to all the Lower, Slower, Delaware cousins.
