William C. Kelius' Obituary
William Clyde Kelius, age 71, of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital of Neuroscience in Philadelphia, PA. following complications of a stroke. He was born on February 14, 1952, in Pottstown, PA, son of the late Clyde William Kelius and Agnes Rose (Dorici) Noecker.
Known by his family and friends as a “Jack of all Trades”, William enjoyed a diverse career. He became a skilled craftsman and woodworker, and built redwood furniture, in the Pottstown area, creating many beautiful pieces. After relocating to Sussex County Delaware, William worked as a lineman for Perdue Farms in Georgetown. DE, as a maintenance technician for the Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, and lastly, for Grotto Pizza, where he enjoyed making their famous pizza dough, before he retired for medical reasons. Even in retirement, William stayed busy and enjoyed working out in the yard and tending to the flowers.
William’s devotion to his family, however, took precedence above all, and the time spent with those he held dear was what he cherished most. William was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Marilyn Rae (Reynolds) Kelius; his son, Shawn Kelius of Boyertown, PA, stepson, Maurice J. Fox, III, of Millsboro, DE; brother, Dennis Kelius (Diba), of Ludowici, GA; sister, Mary Deery (George) of Reading, PA, and a niece, Samantha Deery of Reading, PA.
A memorial service will be held on August 26, 2013 at 12 noon at the Grace United Methodist Church, 300 Church Street, Millsboro, DE with a reception to follow at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
