William "Bill" H. Gremminger's Obituary
William "Bill" H. Gremminger of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with leukemia on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was a son of the late John E. and Sara (Barraclough) Gremminger.
Mr. Gremminger was a 1953 graduate of St. James High School in Chester, PA. He continued his education at Villanova University and graduated from Spring Garden College in 1960. In 1961, Bill married Catherine Cehyra, to whom he was fully devoted for the next 53 years.
Mr. Gremminger was employed by the DuPont Company for 32 years, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed playing baseball for many years and in retirement spent many enjoyable hours on the golf course. He was especially fond of time spent in The Villages, FL. Bill always took great pride in his family and enjoyed meeting the challenges of repairing or improving whatever enhanced his home.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gremminger was preceded in death by his brother, John E. Gremminger, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Cehyra Gremminger; a son, William A. (Gina); a daughter, Patricia A. (Jeffrey); and four grandchildren, Ryan (Laura), Caitlyn, Mason and Adam.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 1, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Gremminger's memory to the Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
