William Francis Calamita's Obituary
William Francis Calamita, age 81, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on March 28, 1945, William lived a life defined by devotion to his family, strength of character, and a generous spirit. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence brought comfort, guidance, and laughter to those fortunate enough to know him.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Vanessa; his daughter, Dawn; and his sons, Bill (Kelly), Corey, Vincent, Keith (Deanna), Matt (Danielle), and David (Lauren). He was a cherished brother to Robin, Dennis, Mark, and Joseph.
He was the proud grandfather of Danielle, Jack, Brianna, Bryson, Nathan, Micaiah, Caleb, Seth, Emily, Brynn, and Ethan, and the loving great-grandfather of Anabella, Shalynn, and Ryatt Francis .
William was preceded in death by his beloved mother, father great-granddaughter, Jaylyn, whose memories he carried in his heart always.
Family was the center of William's life.
He took great pride in watching his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and flourish. His legacy is one of love, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear. The lessons he taught, the stories he shared, and the memories he created will continue to inspire and guide his family for generations to come.
Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, his family finds comfort in knowing that his love and influence will remain with them always.
William will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. A visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
