I will never forget Bill and Louise’s kindness to me and my sister when we rented a trailer from there in the summer of 1994 in Rehoboth Beach. We followed a long line of Irish students who they welcomed with open arms over many summers. My thoughts are with his family. I was reminded to look Bill up as I am causing Rehoboth this summer with my own family for the first time since that summer of 1994. Bill and Louise will be in my thoughts. Such lovely memories of a wonderful couple.

I am so sorry to hear that Bill has passed. We are so thankful for the kindness that he and Louise showed us. When we purchased the unit across the street from them in 1993, Bill was the first to welcome us to the area. Hearing his laugh when my son and I "played" in the front lawn was infectious. Ryan and I spent so much time playing with the hose, spraying each other and the driveway. The day that Bill turned on their hose across the street and started spraying Ryan was hilarious. After that Bill's grandkids and Ryan would chase each other with the hose! Fond and welcome memories. We are so sorry for your loss, Anne, Wally, and Ryan McWalter

Dayna and BJ,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Working at the Shell station in high school, I really got to know him as a regular there, and always enjoyed his presence. He will be truly missed.

Got to say when I heard that Bill passed away I was more then a little sad, I met Bill while I was doing Nursing Clinicals at Cadbury in Lewes around the winter holidays, he seemed like a great man that would sing Christmas carols around the tree in safe harbor at night, he was quick to smile and enjoyed taking my side a fellow Navy Vet when arguments of Navy VS Army football game antics came into play, he will be greatly missed and I’m sorry his family lost such a great man.
