Wayne F. Wichlatz's Obituary
Wayne Francis Wichlatz, 53, of Rehoboth Beach, died suddenly January 19, 2009 at Beebe Medical Center, surrounded by family.
He was born August 30, 1955 in Queens Village, New York, son of the late Frank and Eleanor Wichlatz of St. James, NY.
At the time of his death, Wayne was employed as a pharmacist at Beebe Medical Center. Prior to working at Beebe, Wayne worked at Super G, Edgehill Pharmacy, Milford Hospital, Lewiston Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He graduated from SUNY Buffalo and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy.
Wayne enjoyed traveling to new places, playing golf, attending concerts, spending time with his Golden Retrievers, Emma and Maisy. He brought a smile to the face of everyone who knew him.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Michele Seiler of Rehoboth Beach, the family of his sister, Janice, Tom, Kyle and Christopher Gorman of Willamstown, NJ; the Seiler clan: Mary Anne "Mimi" Seiler of Rehoboth Beach; Mark, Marianne, Frannie, Alex and Mamie of Austin, TX; Matt and Signae of Austin, TX and Megan, Clayton and Ellie Coltman of Swarthmore, PA. Wayne also leaves a large circle of friends, including lifelong buddy Peter Devine of St. James, NY.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Sussex County YMCA, the Rehoboth Beach Fire Department EMTs and the Emergency Department staff Beebe Medical Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 24, 11:30 AM, at St. Edmond's Church, King Charles & Laurel Streets, Rehoboth Beach, DE. Friends may call on Friday, January 23, 6 PM - 8 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Georgetown, 111 N. Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE 19947 or the Sussex County YMCA, 105 Church Street, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
