Wayne was a wonderful historian who was great to work with. He was a wealth of knowledge and supported all things Lewes. He was a regular visitor at Fort Miles and we enjoyed his vast experience with all things to do with the sea. When we started a new non-profit in 2018 to save the Lewes Swing Bridge he gave us his complete support. He will be missed.

Wayne was a wonderful friend! We were both instructors for Osher Lifelong Learning in Lewes and we always attended each other's classes. We also shared a love of sailing and New York-style delicatessens. I will miss seeing him in the front row when we return to in-person classes this February. My deepest condolences to Marian and the rest of the family.
