Ilse I mail my condolence to you on 3/2/12.
I just learned today the sad sad news that one of my mentors and heroes, Wayne Black passed away. I am so sorry I did not know this earlier, as I would have attended the service. I was a young associate at Keller & Heckman and appreciate everything Wayne did to guide me along the path of my legal career. And I will always treasure the many runs we shared. Ilze, though we've never met, it was clear he adored you and his children. He spoke of you often. All my thoughts and sympathies are with you as you walk down this road without this great man. I truly treasure the time that I was able to know Mr. Black. He was a wonderful person and an inspiration in many ways. My thoughts are with Ilze and the family. I'm sorry I'm so late in learning of his passing. All my love, Michelle
Wayne was one of the best training partners I ever had the joy of spending time with. He always was quick with a smile and many words of encouragement for a fellow triathlete. Our victories were his and he celebrated our accomplishments as his own. He was a wonderful friend and we will miss him forever.
Dearest Wayne, Dick and I do truly miss you. This is so awful. We were so young and happy for a very long time. There was the Tri Ath you did with your daughter and my husband and daughter Kathy. There was the day we saw each other at the cancer docter office. We knew it was not a good place to be. We miss you. You are too good to be gone. You will never be forgotten. The love of your life, the sweet and remarkable beauty Izse, gave all to you. My goodness, such love and a hard journey but it was shared. With love, Bev and Dick Dietz
Ilze and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. He really put up a strong fight. He was an inspiration to all of us. We only got to know Wayne within the past few years through Kim and our grandkids. He will be sorely missed on the beach. He was a wonderful man. His love for his family was quite obvious.
May his strong love of family bring you comfort and peace.
You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers.
Blessings,
Carol & Ron

Rest in my peace my friend.
The legacy of love and leadership the Black family has contributed to our world is a source of joy and encouragement to us all. The presentation of Wayne's life on this page
has so many beautiful facets that illustrates this. May God peace and comfort attend his family, esp his sister
Dona Sue.
