Waylon Dennis Edgar's Obituary
Waylon Dennis Edgar was born on September 10, 2023, a micro preemie at 26 weeks, weighting 1lb 3oz and 11.5 inches long. He blessed us with his beautiful presence for 7 days. During those days he proved to his Mommy and Daddy that he was a fighter. Waylon’s lungs and heart were too small for this big world, and he passed away in his parents’ arms on September 17, 2023, in the NICU at Christiana Hospital. His lucky parents are Dennis and Morgan Edgar. He made his Mommy’s dreams come true. He is the “joy of my life.”
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Nathan Edgar; his maternal grandparents: Joe and Debbie Whalen; his paternal grandparents: Frank and Betty Edgar; his maternal aunts and uncles: Tyler Whalen (Frida), Brenna de la Rosa (Lyle), and Hunter Whalen (Caitlin); his paternal aunt and uncle: Debbie Heinsch (Ken); and his cousins: Declan Whalen, Chelsea Heinsch, and Amanda Walker (Justin and their children Jora, Ellie, Logan, Sadie and Tallia), who are sharing in this great loss.
Waylon’s beautiful and wonderful life will be celebrated on Monday September 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Calvary Wesleyan Church, 240 Delaware Ave. Harrington, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 1:00 PM. A gathering will follow in the gym at Calvary Church.
