Warren was a great man. We are honored to have known him and we send our prayers to his family. One memory of him was in 2008- he was working on our renovation addition. He did absolutely amazing work, of course, and was very fun to work with. The house was about done. We had to put in the stove, and he said he’d plug it in and promptly jumped right over the countertop and stove to the little hole behind the stove! He popped up and gave us all a huge grin, thought it was pretty fun to climb back there!
We were happy to see him in December and be able to sit and talk with him. We will miss him but know Heaven gained one of the best.

Nora, Jeanie, George & FAMiLY;
Didn’t know Warren all too well other than 50 plus years or so ago during a family gathering with Gail, Dave, & Steve Bleacher we were at the house on 372, York county and got to see him cut the head off a chicken that we ate that day…..as a city boy that was pretty far out there but cool all the same.
Not sure where Dave got his work ethic at but have a feeling; Warren, had something to do with that! I too latched on to that work ethic but by no means could even begin to match theirs!

Sorry for your loss. Remus and Marie were part of the Lobelia community where my parents, Lanty and Reta Rose, grew up. I have some memories of Remus and Marie living here. Warren worked for Dad logging, probably just during high school. Mom was his teacher at Hillsboro High School. My parents took great pride in Warren's accomplishments when he left WV. I enjoyed talking to Warren when he came back for hunting trips.

My Grampy was the best role model I could have ever asked for, and I am so blessed to have had around for the first 24 years of my life. He instilled principles and values in my life that I will never forget. How to keep busy and productive, take the bull by the horns, and to look out and provide for the ones around you. He would have done anything to help me if I had asked. I loved talking Penn State football with him and learning about his early years in his business.

I have many great memories with Grampy. From teaching me how to fish in Canada, to taking me out for my 21st birthday, and all the times we would stop at a Dairy Queen cause Grampy could never pass up stopping at a Dairy Queen. Most importantly though he taught me how to work hard and be a man of my word. He showed me how to always be there for family and always treat people with respect. He is my role model and will be for the rest of my life!

My favorite memory of Grampy was my first Christmas with the family after they took me in from foster care. Grampy and gram came to the house in quarryville for Christmas morning and even with just meeting me for the first time he made me feel welcomed and gave me a hundred dollar bill on his way out and told me to get some clothes and whatever I needed to get going. He didn’t have to do that but it made me feel welcome and cared for my first holiday in the family. I will always smile when I think of the talks we had about penn state football and what Solanco football looked like in his day compared to how it was when I was playing. He was the blueprint for what it meant and how important it is to have a great work ethic and that lives with me everyday I get up snd go to work with the right attitude and mindset. He’s been the consistent model of hard work pays off and i will strive everyday to be even half the man he was ❤️.

It was an honor to know Warren. He was always willing to help and mentor me as I started running a boat. Getting to fish the Open with Warren is something I will never forget.

definitely not the fondest memory, but the most impacting memory with Dad was the memorial day storm of 1989. 17 boats sunk that day. He showed no fear, kept me from panicking as a 13 yr boy. I knew right then how much of a devoted father he was. i also knew right then, i found my best friend. He became my hero that day and still is my hero today.
