Warren B LeBow's Obituary
Warren B. LeBow, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away at home on Saturday, February 8, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born on December 3, 1936, in Syracuse, Kansas, he was the son of the late Harlan E. LeBow and Alma (Ridlen) LeBow, Clark. He grew up in La Crescenta, California, and was a proud 1954 graduate of Glendale High School, Glendale, California. He later earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
Warren served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War era, from 1954 to 1958, and was honorably discharged after four years of service. He spent 35 years at Librascope Corporation in Glendale, California, where he held various positions, including Electrical Inspector and Engineering Supervisor. Warren had a lifelong interest in technology and was an avid enthusiast of both golf and computers. His deep knowledge of electronics and engineering, combined with his leadership skills, allowed him to oversee and guide teams of engineers and technicians. He was known for his dedication to quality and his ability to solve complex technical challenges. Warren’s contributions to the field of electronics and his commitment to his work left a lasting impact on those he worked with throughout his career.
On May 1, 1969, Warren married Heather (Trolley) Auchterlonie LeBow in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and they shared 55 years of love and companionship.
Warren is survived by his loving wife, Heather, two sons from a previous marriage, Daniel Nelson (AZ) and David Nelson (WA), and two stepchildren, Zandy (Auchterlonie) Lord (Westerly, RI) and Williams Auchterlonie (Harrington, DE). He is also survived by two half-sisters, Linda (Clark) Pederson (CA) and Marilyn (LeBow) Kouralis (UT), a half-brother, William LeBow (AZ), as well as four grandchildren: Madison Lord, Kennedy Lord, Kelci (Nelson) Hopp, and Tyler Nelson.
Warren was affectionately known as "Mr. Fix-It" by the neighborhood children, and later, "Papa" to his beloved grandchildren. A broken toy or problem was always met with the reassurance, “It’s OK, Papa can fix it.” He will be remembered for his laughter, love, and the joy he brought to those around him.
