Walter I. Lausterer's Obituary
Walter I. Lausterer, age 83 of Lewes, DE passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at his residence. He was born June 12, 1927, son of the late J.W. Ballard and Rose (Costa) Lausterer.
Mr. Lausterer served with the U.S. Army in both World War II and Korea. He enjoyed a long career working for John Manville of Manville, NJ retiring as a foreman. Mr. Lausterer loved salt and fresh water fishing and just being outdoors.
Mr. Lausterer is survived by two daughters: Leilani Weaver of Woodway, TX and Danielle Svarez of Camby, IN; two sons: Walter Lausterer of Summit Hill, PA and Ballard Lausterer of Weatherly, PA; eight grandchildren: Dana, Michael, Christy, David, Jessica, Ballard, Christopher, and Christian; seven great-grandchildren: Caiden, Baylor, Gage, Bryce, Emma, Jared and Grant; one sister, Lorraine Walters and one brother, Ossie Lausterer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger, Vernon, Ballard, Donald and Robert.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010, 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958. Friends may call at the funeral home starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Home of the Brave Foundation, 6632 Sharps Road, Milford, DE 19963.
