Walter Paul Buch's Obituary
Walter Paul Buch, age 90, of Georgetown, DE, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2006 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Mr. Buch was born June 9, 1915 in Conshohocken, PA, son of the late Lewis and Idella (Berry) Buch.
Mr. Buch relocated to Lewes in 1986 after living in Boothwyn, PA for 30 years and in Philadelphia, PA for 40 years prior to Boothwyn. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes where he formerly served as a Lay Reader, Chalice Bearer, and Acolyte. He was also active in the men's group at the church. In addition, he was a former member of the Concord Masonic Lodge #625 in Concordville, PA. He was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Penelope R. Buch; his second wife, Mildred Boyd Buch; one grandchild; and two sisters. He is survived by his companion, Virginia "Penny" Paine of Georgetown, DE; his daughter, Joy Ann Mauthe and her husband Paul of Newark, DE; three sons: Eugene McConville of Whispering Pines, NC, Joseph Boyd of Stewartstown, PA, and James Boyd of Hawaii; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second and Market Streets, Lewes, on Monday, April 24, 2006, 11 AM, with Father Jeffrey Ross officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will be at Delaware Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, following the service. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second and Market Streets, Lewes, DE 19958 or to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
