Vivian L. Wilson's Obituary
Vivian L. Wilson, age 85 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 11, 2017, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born Saturday, September 24, 1932 in Rehoboth Beach, DE, daughter of the late George and Bessie (Fowler) Howard.
Mrs. Wilson graduated from Lewes High School, Class of 1950. She was a proud US Airforce Veteran, having served from January 1951 to January 1955. Mrs. Wilson was awarded an honorable discharge at the rank of Airman First Class. After concluding her military service, she married the love of her life, William F. Wilson at Rehoboth Presbyterian Church of Midway, and from that point dedicated herself to her family. She was a member of NARFE and AARP. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed ballroom dancing; playing cards and dominoes with friends. She also enjoyed many years of travel throughout her life. Above all, she cherished moments spent with her treasured family. Mrs. Wilson was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William F. Wilson; her daughter, Celene A. Johnson and a brother, Lester Howard. She is survived by her son, Gary L. Wilson and his wife, Julie; her daughters: Michelle L. Jennings and Renee D. Bailey and her husband, CJ; her grandchildren: Kenneth Woltz, Jr. (Misti), Megan Wooldridge, Chrysta MacBlain (John), Brittany Wilson, Brendan Wilson, Leah Wilson, and William Jennings; her great-grandchildren: Kaleb Woltz, Ethin Woltz, Averie Jennings, Gavin MacBlain, and Kylie MacBlain; her brother, George Howard; and her sister, Patsy Weatherly (Roger).
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
A Chapel Committal Ceremony will follow the service at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way; Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Wilson's memory to Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery: 26669 Patriots Way; Millsboro, DE 19966.
