Vivian Marie Lomax's Obituary
Vivian Marie Lomax, age 92, of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes, DE. She was born on September 19, 1923 in Baltimore, MD, daughter of the late Clayton and Betty (Kerns) Duty.
Mrs. Lomax graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. She enjoyed a 20 year career with the Montgomery Country school district in Rockville, MD, retiring as a Cafeteria Manager.
She loved preparing delicious meals for her family, watching various sports and enjoying long conversations with her friends.
Mrs. Lomax will be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a dear friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lomax was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lomax, in 2005 and a daughter, Linda Neal in 2010. She is survived by her son, Michael Lomax and his wife Karen of Rockville, MD; one grandson: Jason Lomax and his wife Jennifer of Rockville, MD; two great-grandchildren: Isabella and Walter J. Lomax; two sisters, Yvonne Emmans; Sandra Peter and her husband Warren; a brother, Harry Slocombe, Jr.; two nephews, Steven and Scott; and a niece, Kimberley.
A Chapel Committal will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Lomax's memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803.
