Virginia Florence Wilson's Obituary
Virginia "Tobe" Wilson, age 94, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Brandywine Senior Living, in Rehoboth Beach, DE. She was born Friday, April 14, 1922 in Annandale, MN, daughter of the late Edward and Marie DeChaney.
She lived in Anoka with her her sister Madeline “Maddy” Jenkins, and her husband Alexander “Willie” Wilson for 46 years until her husband’s death in 2012. They were active members of the local VFW. After her husband’s death, she moved to live with her grand-daughters Dr. Deborah Qualey and Karen Gustafson in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
She was the youngest and last survivor of the five DeChaney children (Francis “Frenchie” DeChaney, Madeline Jenkins, Beatrice Velander and Delvina “Dolly” Wiik).
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra "Antil" DeChaney. She is survived by her nieces Joyce Ann Hansen, Pat Mitby, Marsha Enfield and nephew’s Robert Velander and Ron Seyfert. Also by her step- sister, Bernie De Chaney, grand-daughter Carrie Lee King, and great grand son Joshua King.
Services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka on Friday October 14th, 2016 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend.
