Virginia Lee Hysock's Obituary
Virginia "Ginny" Lee Hysock, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home in Milton, Delaware. Born on December 11, 1950, in Claymont, Delaware, she was the daughter of the late Guy Goodman Stewart II and Doris (Kimes) Stewart. Ginny had been a resident of Milton since 2005.
Known for her intelligence, integrity, independence, and quick wit, Ginny brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her. She was a loyal friend, a loving mother and grandmother, and a devoted dog lover. She found joy in shopping, sipping red wine, relaxing at the beach with her sisters, and traveling.
Ginny was a proud retiree of CSC/DuPont and later she enthusiastically began a second career as a real estate agent in Sussex County, which further extended her circle of great friends.
Ginny was an avid music & arts lover. She enjoyed playing the piano and taking in the occasional concert. She also attended plays or shows frequently, and commonly shared those experiences with her grandchildren or friends. Her passion for helping others extended far beyond her professional life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Paul Hysock, as well as her parents.
Ginny is survived by her children: Robin Lynn Warwick, Brian Foraker (Karen), and Joshua A. Foraker (Erin); her siblings: Karen DeAscanis, Barbara “Bobbi” Stewart, Guy Goodman Stewart III, and Geoffrey Stewart, MD (Grace). She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Rodger, Wayne (Ricky), Brian, Michael, Dakota, Kelly, Cheyenne, Sierra, and Jack, as well as nine great-grandchildren.
