Virginia Lee Blaine Crawford's Obituary
Virginia "Ginny" Crawford
Virginia "Ginny" Crawford, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born on June 10, 1948, in Cheverly, MD, to the late William Ellsworth Crawford and Ethel Irene Crawford (Brightwell).
Ginny grew up in Berwyn Heights, MD and graduated from High Point High School. She dabbled in music but eventually became a career secretary. Her favorite place of employment was at ARINC, where she retired from before moving to Bethany Beach.
In her spare time, Ginny enjoyed gardening, feeding the Koi fish in her pond, and walks on the beach. While living at the beach, Ginny became involved with the Bethany Town Cats, rescuing stray cats and kittens. Many animals found loving homes due to her volunteering. But Ginny's passion was photography. She loved her camera and catching that perfect picture with it! Be it a bug, animal, plant or thing, Ginny had that keen eye! She won many awards, certificates, and ribbons for her beautiful photography.
Ginny is survived by her daughter, Christine Abbott of Glen Burnie, MD; her granddaughter, Naomi Prosser of Chester, MD; and her great-granddaughters, Leighton Prosser and Landry Prosser.
A viewing will take place at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel 202 S. Laws Street in Bridgeville, DE 19933. A private graveside service will be held.
Ginny will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
