Virginia "Ginny" S. Beel's Obituary
Virginia "Ginny" S. Beel, age 89 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at her home. She was born Sunday, August 21, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late John J. and Anna (Schaffer) Stokes.
Mrs. Beel had a lifelong career and retired from Dover Air Force Base as a Supervisor of Production Control, 436th Engineering Group. She was an active member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Lewes, and she treasured the community there. Mrs. Beel's family was of utmost importance to her, and she cherished the time spent with them. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Beel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Beel, and her daughter, Bambi Pepper. She is survived by her daughters: Sandra London and her husband Victor, of Kitty Hawk, NC, and Jacqueline Sterling and her husband Gregory, of Milton, DE; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mrs. Beel's memory to Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 West 4th Street, Lewes, DE 19958, or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
