Victor A. Pini's Obituary
Victor Anthony Pini, Jr., age 86, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away Monday, May 14, 2007, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Pini was born March 20, 1931, in Everett, MA, son of the late Victor and Julia Pini, immigrants from Italy.
Vic retired from the USAF after serving 23 years. He and his wife Mary lived many places all over the world, finally retiring in Dover. He then retired from the Sussex County Correctional Institure. He enjoyed serving coffee at the Bridgeville Fire Company dinners, reading the latest novels, gardening, grilling, and tinkering in the garage. He was an awesome husband, dad, grandfather, and friend. God broke the mold when He made Vic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dinny and his sister Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Kopas Pini; his daughter, Vickie Pini of Milford; his daughter and son-in-law, Maria Pini Denny and Tom Denny of Newark; grandsons, Simon, Danny and Alex; granddaughter, Julia; his brother, Harold and his wife Kay of Malden, MA and many friends and co-workers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, May 17, 11:30 AM at St. Michael The Archangel, 202 Edward Street, Georgetown, with Father Robert Burk, MSA, as Celebrant. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 201-A West Dupont Highway, Millsboro, DE 19966 or to Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE.
