Vicki Noel McCorkle's Obituary
Vicki Noel McCorkle, age 75, of Millsboro, DE, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 14, 2023, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on October 3, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Bummy” and Minnie (McCabe) Meiser.
Vicki’s path led to a long and successful career as a linguist and intelligence analyst for the NSA. It was a career that was, often challenging, but tremendously fulfilling. While working full-time at the NSA, Vicki attended night classes to ultimately earn her bachelor’s degree. At the time of her retirement, through her hard work and dedication, she was a member of NSA management. In her spare time, Vicki found peace and contentment through practicing yoga, and then became an instructor to share her knowledge. She also enjoyed sewing and taking nature walks. Above all else, though, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandson. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her smile and presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have known her.
Vicki married her husband Patrick on June 21, 2004, in Annapolis, MD, and the two would share the next nineteen years together, creating many beautiful and happy memories.
In addition to her parents, Vicki was preceded in death by her brothers, Dean and Dale Meiser. She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick; her daughter, Erin Cullen (Ryan); her grandson, Wyatt Cullen; sister, Valerie Duvall (Rocky); nieces, Michele Kerr, Jackie Paul, and Laurie Aguayo Paul; great-nieces, Courtney Kerr, Kristen and Ashley Dunn-Kerr, Emma Aguayo Paul; and great nephews, Felipe and Sebastian Aguayo Paul, and her brother-in-law, Mike McCorkle
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 3, 2023, 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at the Peninsula Community Clubhouse.
