Veronica May Maurer's Obituary
Veronica May “Ronnie” Maurer, age 83 of Long Neck, DE and formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, DE. She was born on May 18, 1938, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late David and Mary McMillan.
Ronnie loved beginning each day with a cup of coffee and a word search puzzle. She enjoyed watching crime dramas and murder mysteries, and playing computer solitaire. Ronnie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Maurer; and her siblings: Elizabeth, Joseph, Edward, Anne, Robert, and Albert. She is survived by her children: Mary McKiel of DE, Katherine Dinkel (Ronald) of NY, Christopher Maurer of FL, Joseph Maurer of FL, Francis Maurer (Lisa) of NY, and Daniel Maurer (Homa) of NY; her grandchildren: Holly, Heather, Ryan, Thomas, Stacey, Krista, Michelle, Christopher, Anthony, Valerie, David, Jacob, and Daniel; her six great-grandchildren; and her brother, George McMillan.
